This was an old oak kitchen table that was in pieces in someone's garage. The table was put back together, made thinner and longer and drawers were added. Then it was refinished in a darker color. It makes a great kitchen island and baking station now. Another example of turning garbage into a treasure.
The Process
Here is the beginning product. The left end has fallen off. The finish is in very poor shape.
The sides have been cut off to make it thinner and a piece of wood added to the middle to make it longer.
Here it has been glued, re routered the edges, added drawers and stripped the finish. Ready for a brand new finish.
